Just like the superstar that she so remarkably emulates, Rebecca Young has been singing since the age of eight. She was consistently selected as the soloist of the church choir making her parents proud of her angelical voice. She took after her father, who was an accomplished country music guitar player and singer from Spartanburg, South Carolina where Rebecca was born.

Little Miss Young continued singing and took part in the musical activities of her high school in Florida after leaving South Carolina. Living in Miami presented the opportunity for Rebecca to perform in show rooms along Collins Avenue in Miami Beach. She eventually moved to the West Coast touring the Golden State area with the rock band “The Young Californians”.

It was in Canada that she performed with the bands Stratus Faction and Rebecca Young & Boomtown. Many television shows followed and she went on to win a prize at the Du Marier Search for the Stars Contest. Her trek continued on through Alberta and British Columbia performing as a soloist with the Victoria Symphony Orchestra. It was there that her first show as Judy Garland came to be known as "A Garland for Judy" followed by "My Judy”, playing to an appreciative audience with great success.

Longing for warmer climates brought Rebecca to the Hawaiian Islands. Rebecca then went on to become a cast member for the Legends in Concert Show at The Royal Hawaiian Showroom in Waikiki, Las Vegas, Atlantic City, Branson, Myrtle Beach and on the Premier Cruise Line. She has also triumphed in Berlin, Germany when she was cast as "Judy" in ‘Stars in Concert’ at the Estrel Hotel. The Patsy Cline character, on the other hand, came around in the last couple of years after a lot of hard work and persistence to achieve a new ring in the ladder of show business. Country performances even in places like Branson, Missouri. Rebecca then received an offer to return as Judy Garland, starring in ‘Bill Lloyds Masquerade Show’ at The Tropicana Hotel in Atlantic City, New Jersey. The AC press called her a ‘Showstopper’ for her performance in Masquerade.

Rebecca then traveled to Valley Forge, to perform at the Lilly Langtree Theatre. Later followed a personal written show of the mother and daughter act 'Together Again'. Bookings came from Florida Theatres to Ohio and all the way to Canada! Returning to her home town of Miami, Rebecca enjoyed singing on cruise ships, country clubs and resorts. Presently, Rebecca Young lives in Las Vegas, where she plans on singing with the symphony singing Broadway, pop and jazz songs! One thing is for sure; she will be always drawn to her beloved ‘Judy Garland Tribute’!
